The Holdenwood Trail Run is a 2K/5K/10K walk/run. It is truly unique for its beautiful setting and sense of community. The idyllic Holdenwood trails offer a mix of stone lined meadows, wooded trails, and several interesting features along the way including the Stone Crossing that make this event unique.

An important part of ASEF's mission is to reach out to our community and provide information regarding important topics. To this end, the ASEF Speaker Series brings high profile speakers for evening presentations for parents, teachers and area professionals.
Every spring, the Ayer Shirley Education Foundation hosts the ASRMS Science Fair. All students are invited to showcase their individual or group projects, exploring real-world science and engineering discovery through hands-on experience. ASEF honors the top three projects in grades 6, 7, and 8 with prizes. The ten highest rated projects qualify for the opportunity to compete at the Massachusetts Regional Science Fair for a chance to advance to the state-wide competition.
Education is not the filling of a pail but the lighting of a fire. William Butler Yeats
Pulling off the many events does take a village. We are so very grateful and fortunate for all of the members of the community whom offer their time, energy, and donations to support ASEF's mission to make our children's schools a place we're proud for them to be.
